At a glance
- Strictly-necessary storage only, by default — nothing non-essential loads until you choose.
- We use Plausible Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-respecting tool that creates no cross-site profile.
- Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel + Conversions API) is consent-gated and loads only after you opt in.
- No cookies or trackers fire before you make a choice; rejecting non-essential storage is as easy as accepting it.
- We do not sell your browsing data, and no advertising or measurement runs without your consent.
- Data controller for this site: ForFarmers Nederland BV (Netherlands); you can contact us at [email protected].
Our approach
AssetTrace is a trading brand operated through ForFarmers Nederland BV (Netherlands), with payments processed by Real Transfer Limited (United Kingdom). We take a minimal-footprint approach to storage and tracking. By default only strictly-necessary storage loads; analytics and any advertising measurement are off until you make a choice. We do not sell or share your browsing data, and we do not operate cross-site profiling for our own purposes.
Consent first
Non-essential cookies and trackers — including advertising measurement — do not fire until you opt in through our consent banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
Strictly necessary storage
- Locale preference
- Remembers your chosen language (EN/ES/DE/FR).
- Cookie choice
- Records your storage and consent preference so we don’t ask again.
- Intake form state
- Preserves your progress during multi-step case submission.
These are exempt from consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (as transposed across the EU/EEA, including the German TDDDG) and the UK PECR, because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you requested. They cannot be disabled without breaking site functionality.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics (self-hosted), a cookieless, GDPR-compliant tool that measures aggregate traffic without storing your IP address or any personally identifiable information. No cross-site profile is ever created. Plausible runs on EU-resident infrastructure and does not require advertising consent.
Marketing & advertising (consent-gated)
We run paid campaigns to reach people who may need asset-tracing and recovery support. To measure those campaigns we use Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising tools, but only with your consent.
If — and only if — you opt in through our consent banner, we load the Meta Pixel and use the Meta Conversions API to measure the performance of our advertising. This helps us understand which campaigns lead visitors to contact us and to control advertising spend. These tools are provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.
- The Meta Pixel and Conversions API load only after you give consent — never before.
- If you decline or have not yet chosen, no Meta script runs and no advertising data is sent.
- You can withdraw consent at any time through the consent banner or your browser settings; future advertising measurement then stops.
- Data shared with Meta for measurement is limited to what is necessary for campaign attribution and may be transferred to Meta under its own terms and safeguards.
Your control
Advertising measurement is strictly optional. Declining it does not affect your ability to use the site, submit a case, or contact us.
What we don’t use
- No advertising or measurement tools that load before you consent.
- No cross-site profiling or trackers for our own commercial purposes.
- No device or browser fingerprinting.
- We do not sell your browsing data.
Your choices & consent
Non-essential storage — including analytics and advertising measurement — is off by default, and rejection is as easy as acceptance. You can manage, change, or withdraw your consent at any time through our consent banner, and you can clear stored data through your browser settings. This notice aligns with the German TDDDG, the ePrivacy Directive as transposed across the EU/EEA, the UK PECR, and current EDPB guidance on consent.
Where storage involves processing of personal data, that processing is carried out by ForFarmers Nederland BV as data controller and is described further in our Privacy Notice. Our lead supervisory authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Netherlands); you may also lodge a complaint with your local authority — for example the AEPD (Spain), the ICO (United Kingdom), the CNIL (France), or the competent German state authority / the BfDI (Germany).
