How we are built to be trusted.
Trust is structural, not decorative. Below is how we hold data, which standards we work to, and the legal documents that govern every engagement.
Operated through registered entities — verify them yourself
AssetTrace is a trading brand and is not regulated in its own name. The work behind it is carried out through entities that are registered and independently verifiable: ForFarmers Nederland BV, through which services are provided, holds a DNB registration as an exempt payment service provider (R142234); Real Transfer Limited, which processes payments, holds a DNB registration as a payment institution (R124476). We list every registration number, address and identifier so you can check each one against the official source.
Certifications & methodology gates
EU-resident data
Case files are stored on EU-resident infrastructure (Hetzner, Falkenstein) and encrypted at rest with KMS-managed keys. Lead and case data never leaves EU-resident systems.
GDPR by design
We process on Article 6(1)(f) legitimate interests at enquiry, and 6(1)(b) contract once engaged. Data-subject rights, retention limits, and a public sub-processor list are part of every engagement.
Not a CASP under MiCA
We do not custody, hold, exchange, or transfer crypto-assets, so we are not a Crypto-Asset Service Provider under MiCA. Our work product is an evidence package, not a financial service.
Voluntary AML controls
Although not an obliged entity under the AMLR, we apply pre-engagement sanctions and PEP screening, and decline any engagement that would breach EU restrictive measures.
